MAC Casual Colour Lip & Cheek Colour: Out for Fun +Keep it Casual (Swatch + Review)

These are a limited edition cream-based product that can be used on the cheeks and/or lips. When these were first released, i knew exactly which shades i wanted and when i visited the MAC counter and swatched these in person, it just re-affirmed my decision. I bought the shades Out for Fun and Keep it Casual, one for spring/summer and one for autumn/winter.

These have a slight vanilla scent, like MAC lipsticks. I love how pigmented these pots are, you can choose to wear a sheer wash or build up the colour to its full intensity. These were swatched on my forearm, heavily and blended out:
As a cream blush, a little goes a long way, I find that using my fingers to warm up the product and a stippling brush to blend was the most effective way. However, i didn't really like using this as a face product because that it never settled completely dry on my cheeks so i worry about transfer.
As a lip product however, i loved. It's creamy texture allows it to glide over the lips easily without settling into any fine lines. One dab will create a tinted lip balm look while a couple will give a fully opaque coverage. There was a lot of color payoff and it feels super lightweight. It's very long lasting and even when it fades after a few hours, it fades evenly and it's very natural looking. While it doesn't moisturize my lips, it doesn't dry them out either. Definitely exfoliate and use lip balm before using this because it will accentuate any flaking.
Out for Fun is described as a "cool coral'.
It definitely leans to coral when applied on the lips, due to the natural pinkness of the lips but on the cheeks, it appears more tangerine. This is such a flattering color for summer, i wore it a lot in HK.
Keep it Casual is described as a "warm wine" and oh my gosh, i love this.
It has been my go-to colour since i've been back in Melbourne. It's the color i'd imagine Snow White's lips to be c: Its a deep berry red and it's so perfect for fall/winter.
So as you can see, overall i really love these pots. There is a huge range of colours, gorgeous color pay off, it's long lasting and they're handy for carrying in around as they don't melt or break. I think these are really worth the money because of the amount of product you get - one pot is equivalent to about 3-4 MAC lipsticks or 2 MAC cremeblend blushes!
I bought mine in HK for $180 HKD each. For the Aussie ladies, these retail for $41 AUD (just $5 more than a lipstick/cremeblend!) at MAC. For the lucky ladies in the States, they're half the price ;c

Have you tried anything from this range?
